This was one of the funnest tournaments Wes and I have ever fished. We caught more 8+ lb fish than we knew what to do with. On top of being a lot of fun, the tournament was well put together with some top notch anglers in the competition.

Day 1

During prefishing we found a pond that was holding a lot of fish but we weren't too sure how many were in there. The first day of the tournament, we pulled up to our pond and within the first minute we had our first fish on. After that we had nonstop action for two hours. We were able to catch two fish over 8 lbs so we backed off our spot and called it a day. We had around 16.8 for day one and was sitting in 10th overall.

Day 2

For two days of prefishing and for the first day of the tournament we were a little hesitant to catch too many fish out of our pond for fear that we wouldn't have anything left for day 2. It wasn't until we started the day that we realized how many fish were just laid up in such a small area. We pulled up to our spot and again, within a minute we saw a couple tails out of the water and had our first hookup of the day. After that we laid into them without any fear of catching too many and had one of the best days of fishing for us this year. We ended up catching 40+ redfish and every one of them was between 7 and 14 lbs. Our total for the day was 17.32 which gave us a two day total of 34.16 and a 3rd place finish out of 101 boats.
